I didn’t blog last night because I fell into bed at 9:30pm. I was tired.<\/p>\n

Even though I gave this girls the week off, Lydia and I still did an hour and a half of music. I folded six loads of laundry and baked rolls and cookies. Oh! And Abe and I ran in the rain, which was soooo fun.<\/p>\n

We had dinner in the evening with the Marshalls and Jan and George. Chelsea made the most delicious soup<\/a>\u00a0and we all had a grand time.<\/p>\n

After dinner Chelsea told a Bible story, and then we sang\u00a0Over the River and through the Woods<\/em> while Jan showed us the pictures. She ended up reading most of the book to us because we all only knew the first verse.<\/p>\n

After that we listened to Native American pan flutes and helped each child do some straw weaving. I felt like it was a success.<\/p>\n

Abe’s phone with pictures of us weaving is at work. But I have pictures from earlier in the day as follows:<\/p>\n

I spotted Mary falling asleep on Lydia and grabbed my phone camera. Lydia thought it was funny until after I took the picture. Then this scene dissolved into a whiny, “Maaaaryyyy, get off!!!” …Mary thinks it’s hilarious when she annoys Lydia, so of course she stayed on.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

My dad taught me to love garbage trucks. When we lived in Rome, he always made a big deal about watching the garbage trucks come around, and we would cheer them on from the window. My kids are equally fascinated with this event.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
