We discovered ER Apex, which is our new favorite hospital in the area. It was clean, quiet, and she got a room immediately. So different from her three days in the ER hallway last Christmas! Her room was also so pretty. It had huge floor to ceiling windows that looked out onto a pond and some trees. I spent a couple hours with her, headed home to cook, went back to take mom back to Magnolia Glen when she was done at the ER, and then finished cooking for the week.

This is Abe here adding some notes to the day. Ammon and I had the most wonderful campout. Ammon caught a few fish between afternoon and morning fishing. In the night, people said it would be really cold, and maybe get into the 30s so Ammon and I really bundled. We were in Lily’s little 2-person tent, and we were each in our own sleeping bag, but also inside of the two-person sleeping bag. We were so cosy! We were toasty warm, and Ammon said being so cosy together at night was one of his favorite parts and it was one of my favorite parts too. I forgot to get a picture of our tent, but Ammon is standing right where we had it.

Ammon had so much fun with all of his friends. Our first day there we went on a hike, and then Ammon got to help prepare dinner by using a knife. Then we all had campfire time as the kids took turns telling stories. I could tell Ammon was having such a great time with all of his friends. I had a wonderful time with my friends too. It was just very connective, both with great people, with great nature, with Ammon and even with myself.

Right before leaving, Ammon and I fished with Kevin and his son Ben. Ammon caught a fish, but the hook was caught deep in the fish. I used my pliers and did my very best to remove it while saving the fish, but I failed and the fish died. I threw the fish back in the water after removing the hook, and it twitched a few times and then lay lifeless. Ammon sat on a stump with tears rolling down his cheeks. He is very sensitive and always hates seeing other things suffer. Kevin and I were both very supportive of Ammon’s feelings and we were sorry to end on a low note. I got Ammon ice cream on the way home to try to pick him up and that helped. I had the most wonderful time camping with Ammon. I wouldn’t have missed it for the world!

When I got home, I exercised by doing pull-ups, pushups, burpees etc and also running around our block. This tree on Glenn Eden blew me away, so I had to stop and take a picture.

After I exercised, I spent time with Lily and her mom after they had such an intense day with the hospital.

On Sunday my mom had terrible spasms in her back, so she went to the ER.
