I reread yesterday’s blog post and had an epiphany: I have confused house cleaning with parenting. Doing the dishes is not critical to keeping my children alive! However, stuff like that\u00a0is<\/em> critical to my sanity, and my sanity is a valuable asset in child rearing. So, in a roundabout way, dishes help.<\/p>\n

I did take some pictures today.<\/p>\n

We started out the morning with baths. Those always give Mary’s hair a fighting chance for the day.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

…But no matter what we do, after her nap, her hair always ends up like this. Mary smiles and says, “My hair is cwazy!”<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Summer took Lydia to her school today for “take a preschooler to school day,” and I have a cute shot of them outside her school. I was proud of Lydia for walking all the way back home with Summer afterward. She had to trek up a pretty big hill and walk quite a ways, and by the time she came home, she was pretty pooped.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
