bananas for make-up tutorials

On Saturday I got up at 5:15am to go to yoga, and because I got to bed so late on Friday, I was wiped out for the rest of the day. Basically I travelled from the bed to the couch and honestly did not do much in between. I think that kind of defeats the purpose of working out, but so be it. I love yoga, so in the future I just need to get to bed earlier.

Here are the day’s pictures:

Ammon loved playing with the girls’ toys.

Lydia built a tall tower.

Abe went to the BYU football game at night with his dad, and I stayed home and watched Youtube videos on how to do your makeup. I am astounded at how vapid this activity is, but I am seriously entranced by makeup tutorials. It’s incredible to watch someone transform themself in front of a camera, and I am a sucker for great personalities. My favorite artist is Ali Andreea. She is funny, smart and quite charming. When I started watching these tutorials I literally had no idea what was a good or bad way to put on make-up. I watched her do’s and don’ts video and basically was so ignorant that I didn’t even know how to do the don’ts. I have never, ever contoured and I have never even owned something so basic (well, at least “basic” according to her) as bronzer, so it was basically a whole new world to me–but I can’t deny it is so fascinating! Also, Abe’s cousin is the head make-up artist for Lancome, and when I met Martha Stewart her make-up artist, Daisy, was there, so I guess I have two mental entry points to make-up. At any rate, I have become quite enamored with these tutorials and stayed up until 1am watching them.
