Georgia came home today! We all loaded in the car around noon to pick her up. While in the car, Lydia had fun taking pictures of people and doing stop-motion videos of her and Mary playing and eating.
I had fun picking up Georgia and seeing her again. After picking her up, we went and looked a care center that Lily found that was rated 100% from “A place for mom” rating company. We weren’t sure if we were going to go the home-care route or care center route yet, but Georgia was leaning towards care center, and we knew we had to do something fast. I’ve been taking work off to help with everything, especially now that Georgia needs a lot of care, and that situation couldn’t last forever. So we promptly started exploring all possibilities.
We were very impressed with Legacy Village. It was new, clean, beautiful, and the marketing person was very kind and not pushy. Here is a picture of Lily walking in with her mom.
It was an intense day for everyone as we all processed and discussed the best options. We love Georgia so much. She has been such a source of love and light in our home, and it has been difficult to consider changes to the way things have been. The reason I cried Sunday when she was being taken in an ambulance was because I had a feeling things would be dramatically changing and that she might need to leave us.
Also, Mary spent a lot of time playing at her new friend Haven’s house.
