Mary’s recital

On Sunday we went to church and then headed over to Mary’s piano recital at 2. It went over three hours! She did a great job, and we were so proud of her. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tc1JvUGLR-k

After I took Aparna home and chatted with her over chai for some time before heading to my mom’s.

In the meantime Abe was at a barbecue with the kids. Our street has an annual barbecue and he had a wonderful time chatting with our neighbors. He told me afterward that we have wonderful neighbors. I am sad I missed it!

In the evening Abe was totally exhausted and suffering an allergy attack–probably from a weekend outdoors. I spent some time chatting with Lydia and then we all went to bed relatively early.

Lydia goes to the school play

Lydia has been looking forward to spending more time with Selby, and today I took her to Selby’s house in the evening. Her parents were so nice, and her dad (who is Lydia’s teacher) took the girls to the food hall for dinner and then to the school play, which Lydia said blew her away. Ligon kids are very talented. I kind of wish I had taken the other kids to see it! But it was a rainy night and we spent the time cozy at home.

Ammon and Abe were on a campout with the scouts. Apparently Ammon shot a shotgun, played a bunch of games with his friends, and overall had a great time. Abe did too. We missed them but Clarissa kept remarking that we were having a “girl day.” Very cute.
