Christkindlmarkt

We drove up to Salt Lake for the Christkindlemarkt at This is the Place. It actually was pretty nice temperature wise, but the air was so bad you could see the particulates. We still had fun and tried not to think about the fact that we were all probably getting lung cancer from the outing…

Also earlier in the day Nana and Clarissa had a sweet moment. They are so cute!

catholic church

On our ecumenical Sunday we went to the local Catholic Church. I loved it, and Mary saw one of her class mates there. It was the only diverse local congregation I’ve encountered in all of our church hopping so far. For that reason alone we might return next month.

mommy daughter date with Mary

On Monday I took Mary on a Mommy Daughter date to Color Me Mine and The Creperie for hot cocoa. She has been SUCH a good girl all year–so helpful, so kind, so obedient. I just love her and wanted her to feel seen. And the beauty of that is that I had the chance to actually SEE her on this date. Sometimes it is hard to see each individual child in the chaos of ordinary life. But one-on-one time is so valuable because I got to appreciate how darling and precious and adorable Mary is. I felt sooooo lucky to be her mom. Like, please pinch me, because I can’t believe this cute girl is mine!

going to the new house

On Saturday we went to the new house with Moroni to see what it would take to make a master bedroom in the basement. It turns out the house already had a master bedroom planned right where we thought we’d put one! So it’s plumbed and ready. We couldn’t believe it. There must be a God, I guess. This house seems made for our family.

The girls made Ammon into a Thanksgiving turkey. So funny!
