On Thursday I spent the whole morning vacuuming and trying to tackle the flea problem. I did a lot of laundry. After school I also picked up carving pumpkins!
We had a quick family dinner of vegetarian shepherd’s pie with mushroom sauce and meatballs before carving all of the 6 huge pumpkins I’d bought. We love how our pumpkins turned out. Clarissa was so happy that she danced several dances for us. I thought her joy was palpable–she kept running outside and dancing with joy at the sight of all the pumpkins in front of the house. She also said in the morning that carving pumpkins is her favorite and that she loves every step of the process. This was the first year she carved her own pumpkin, start to finish, one hundred percent herself!
